Women's National Open Information:

Registered players will be divided onto teams coached by USA Baseball Women's National Team coaches and staff. Over the course of the Women's National Open, players will compete in games, practices and individual workout sessions. A minimum of 30 players will be selected from the Women's National Open to make up the Trials roster. Twenty (20) women will then be selected to represent the United States as a member of the final Women's National Team roster.

- Registration fee: $75 (The registration fee will include 2 jersey tops, belt, socks, and hat for each player. Players will be responsible for their own meals, travel and lodging for the event.)

- Dates: July 18-20

- Eligibility: Athletes born in the year 2006 or before

- Location: Neiman Sports Complex in St. Paul, MN  

- In order to be eligible for selection to the Women's National Team Trials, players must have an up to date passport. Players may still attend the Open if they do not have a passport, but will not be eligible for selection to WNT Trials. Please be aware, if selected, players will need to be able to stay until July 25. If selected to the final roster for the Women's National Team from Trials, players will need to be available until August 2. All players named to Trials and the National Team will have expenses covered by USA Baseball (meals, travel, lodging).

COVID-19 Information:

To offer transparency to all eligible athletes for the Women's National Team and their families, USA Baseball encourages you to review the detailed information below communicated to us by the Government of Canada. Please note that all policies listed here are created by their local health authorities and are subject to change in direct correlation to the status of the ongoing pandemic.

To enter Canada, all travelers must be FULLY VACCINATED. You may find the list of accepted vaccines by their government here. To qualify as fully vaccinated, you must:

  • Have received at least two (2) doses of a COVID-19 vaccine accepted for travel, a mix of two (2) accepted vaccines, or one (1) dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
  • Have received your second dose of the vaccine, or one dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine, at least 14 calendar days before international travel (July 12 to be eligible for Womenâ??s National Team Trials)
  • Booster shots are not required to be considered fully vaccinated.
  • No vaccination exemptions are being accepted by the Government of Canada.

If you are currently unvaccinated but will become fully vaccinated (as defined by the criteria listed above) by July 12, please let us know so we can update your registration information. ALL PLAYERS WILL NEED TO SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION AT WOMEN'S NATIONAL OPEN REGISTRATION ON JULY 18 OR THEY WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR SELECTION TO TRIALS.

Players who are not vaccinated may still participate in the Women's National Open; however, will not be eligible for selection to Trials.



The Women's National Team will be competing in a 5-game International Friendship Series versus Canada in Thunder Bay, Ontario July 28-August 1.
